From creator videos to Spotify: how paid media works

Create original videos, find the strongest posts, and promote them with a Spotify call to action. A clear guide to budgets, Spark Ads, estimates, and reporting.

A creator campaign gives your song original videos and a chance to find an audience organically. Paid media gives the strongest posts a second job: reaching more people with a clear invitation to listen on Spotify or save the song on Spotify.

We manage the process, from coordinating creators to preparing and monitoring the ads. Your proposal shows the budget before you pay.

The campaign, step by step

Six steps: pay creators to make original posts; compare organic performance; obtain creator Spark authorization; promote selected posts with a Spotify call to action; send interested people to Spotify; review automatically synced ad results.

1. Start with a creator campaign

Creators make and publish original videos using your song and campaign brief. Your proposal sets out the creator plan and any specific delivery commitment.

2. Select the strongest posts

We compare the available organic results, engagement, creative quality, and fit with your audience. A post that already holds attention is a useful candidate for an ad. We still test: strong organic performance does not guarantee the lowest cost or the best paid results.

3. Get permission to run Spark Ads

We coordinate Spark authorization with the selected creators. Spark Ads let advertisers promote an existing, authorized TikTok post using its original identity. Authorization needs to cover the planned run; a post cannot run simply because it performed well. TikTok's Spark Ads guide explains this format.

4. Add a clear Spotify invitation

We prepare the selected posts for paid media with a message such as Listen on Spotify or Save on Spotify, supported by a destination button. The exact button label depends on the ad format and platform options. The destination opens Spotify; the listener chooses whether to play or save the song. An ad click does not save a song automatically.

Our team handles setup, targeting, budget allocation, and optimization. A Spotify destination and valid creator authorization must be in place before launch. Paying for the proposal does not launch ads immediately: the creator posts need to be published and selected first.

5. Turn interest into visits to your song

The ad gives someone who likes the video a direct next step. We use a tracking link that records the visit and redirects to your song on Spotify. For a campaign focused on Spotify, this is a different goal from a Boost campaign focused on video views, reach, and engagement.

6. Follow the results

Once the campaign is linked to our connected ad account, available ad results sync automatically into your paid media dashboard. You can follow reported spend, impressions, clicks, and the other available delivery metrics, alongside Spotify-link visits and the latest sync time.

Scheduled ad-account sync runs hourly. Reporting can be delayed by the platform, so the dashboard is not a second-by-second live feed. We show the available campaign results rather than asking you to rely only on a manual summary.

Included or optional: a clear budget

With included paid media, a $1,500 proposal can cover $1,000 for the creator campaign and $500 in ad spend. Management is included in that quoted total. The $500 is an allocation within the proposal, not another $500 added at checkout.

Your proposal shows the actual allocation for your campaign. The team prepares the paid media phase after the creator posts are ready.

With an optional add-on, a $1,500 creator campaign plus $500 paid media costs $2,000 only if you check “Add paid media.” Leave it unchecked and your total stays $1,500. Your creator budget and deliverables stay unchanged. You can change the choice before payment.

What the listener estimate means

We use a planning cost range to estimate how many new listeners the ad budget could generate. For example, $500 at an assumed $0.50–$1.00 per potential new listener gives a planning range of 500–1,000. This example is arithmetic, not a platform forecast or a promised benchmark. Your proposal shows its own assumptions.

The range is calculated as ad budget ÷ estimated cost per listener. Actual outcomes depend on the creative, audience, targeting, auction costs, and what people do after opening Spotify.

Ad clicks and link visits are measurable. They are not proof of a Spotify stream, save, or unique new listener. Listener estimates should not be read as verified Spotify results, and listens or saves are not guaranteed.

What we take care of

  • Coordinating the creator campaign and reviewing published posts.
  • Selecting promising videos and obtaining Spark authorization.
  • Preparing the ad, Spotify destination, and tracking link.
  • Managing the reserved ad budget and optimizing the campaign.
  • Making available ad-account results visible in your dashboard.

Any creator delivery guarantee is the specific commitment written in your proposal. It does not become a guarantee of Spotify listeners or saves.

Frequently asked questions

Is paid media included in my proposal price?

Your proposal shows whether paid media is included or offered as an optional add-on. Optional paid media is unchecked by default and only increases your total when you select it. Management is included.

Are Spotify listeners or saves guaranteed?

No. Listener ranges are planning estimates. Ad reports show delivery and clicks; tracking links measure visits toward Spotify, not confirmed streams, saves, or unique new listeners.

Do I need to set up the ads myself?

No. We handle creator coordination, post selection, Spark authorization, campaign setup, and optimization. Your paid media dashboard shows the available results and latest sync time.
